O’Neal Steel hosts open house in Waterloo today

O’Neal Steel in Waterloo is hosting an Open House including guided tours on June 19 from 11am – 4pm. at their location at 2600 Sergeant Road / HWY 63 in Waterloo. The company, a metals service center – think “grocery store for metals products” – has a 110,000 square foot facility and sits on 22 acres. O’Neal Steel stocks a full range of carbon, stainless and aluminum products used in a wide variety of industrial applications.


The company’s customer base is primarily industrial fabrication shops, machine shops, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) producing equipment for the agricultural, construction, mining, forestry, truck and trailer industries throughout the state of Iowa, southern Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois.


With very little turnover, the Waterloo facility employs 32 workers with over 600 years of experience. Founded in 1921 and headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, O'Neal Steel (onealsteel.com) is the U.S.A.'s largest family-owned, full-line metals service center. The company maintains a vast inventory of carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel products, and operates a nationwide network of strategically located distribution facilities to serve customers ranging from local fabricators to international manufacturers.
